Skype Offers Free Calling

Online Voice over IP vendor Skype has just announced free calling with in the US and Canada until the end of the year. This is an interesting move and further commoditize the long distance market. But the real questions is whether this is sustainable. I.e. How will Skype pay the bill for these PSTN calls? And move importantly how will they pay the taxes and fees…
